Daléne specialises in corporate and commercial, private client and collective investment funds. She has a particular interest in cross border structuring and regularly advises ultra high-net-worth families on effective structures for asset protection and succession planning.
Daléne is a South African advocate. She has a LLB degree, a post graduate diploma in the interpretation and drafting of contracts, and she is a Chartered Company Secretary.
Daléne started her career in South Africa, focusing on private client work and later worked as in-house legal counsel to a leading real estate development group. Prior to joining Hatstone, she worked for Standard Bank in Jersey within their collective investment funds department and most recently for Moore Stephens as in-house legal advisor in their collective investment funds department.
Daléne speaks English and Afrikaans.
Daléne has a passion for gourmet cuisine and in her spare time she perfects complicated dishes. She has taken part in several culinary competitions and has been featured on television. When not at work or in the kitchen, she enjoys travelling and playing with her Yorkshire Terrier.
