Hatstone Lawyers is pleased to announce that it has won a mandate to act as Jersey legal counsel (Agnieszka Bielanska) to Guernsey Mint Refined Limited in respect of the establishment of a new open-ended expert fund to be launched in the third quarter of this year. The fund will be the first of a series of funds that will invest in bullion coins.
Two teams from Hatstone Lawyers advised on a £24 million re-financing of a Jersey property unit trust . The first team (Simon Vivian, Jane Struth and Aaron Chandler) acted for the lender, Lloyds TSB, whilst the second team (Marcus Stone, Hannes Botha and Agnieszka Bielanska) acted for the borrower.
Hatstone Lawyers has been shortlisted for Jersey Law Firm of the Year at the Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards.
Hatstone Lawyers, as part of their social responsibility scheme, have been proud sponsors of Jersey Stand-Up Paddle-Boarder Andre Le Geyt since 2012. Andre is the reigning ‘British Paddle-Board Champion’, having won the ‘BSUPA Nationals’, he represented the United Kingdom during the recent ‘ISA Championships’ in Peru.
His latest achievement has been taking part in the ‘Police & Fire Games 2013’ in Belfast earlier this month where he added another three gold medals to his growing collection. Andre competed in the Men’s Long-Board, Short-Board and Stand-Up Paddle Board events, beating contestants from across the world and winning all three.
When he is not competing, Andre is a fireman at Jersey Airport.
