Marianne specialises in corporate and commercial, business law, mergers and acquisitions, investment funds and regulatory advice.
Marianne studied Scots Law at Glasgow University following which she spent four years working as an employment law paralegal, later going on to complete the LPC at the University of Law in Birmingham.
Marianne qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in March 2015 and on qualification worked in a specialist oil and gas team in Aberdeen. Latterly Marianne was working in a generalist role in Edinburgh assisting on corporate M&A transactions, funding rounds and advising on a range of commercial contracts. Marianne understands the need to offer practical advice having completed a secondment at one of the big six energy providers and spent time working in-house at a UK retail bank.
Marianne’s role at Hatstone entails assisting the partners on a variety of transactions and providing general corporate and commercial advice.
Marianne enjoys travel and has a keen interest in scuba diving and marine biology having previously worked as a dive instructor on the Great Barrier Reef and the Maldives.
